The New Hope Boys Basketball season ended last night in a great effort against the Callaway Chargers.
NH trailed 26-31 at halftime after going down by 14 points earlier in the half. The Trojans fought back during the third quarter and kept it close throughout the fourth quarter. NH’s Raymond Walters nailed a three with 6.9 seconds left in regulation to put NH up by 2 points. A foul was called on the Callaway player’s three point attempt with 0.6 left on the clock and time expired. With 0.0 on the clock two out of three foul shots were made to send the game into overtime at 55 all.
The first overtime saw Callaway jump out into the lead but the Trojans fought back to tie the game at 66 on a Raymond Walters drive and layup. The second overtime ended with NH behind by three and a last second shot three pointer by Jonathan Brandon fell just short for the final score of 75-78.
